Journey Booker is an online platform which helps private vehicle hire companies manage their bookings. The company is based in Exeter, South Devon.
The client required a clean and simple logo design which would work well reduced as a small icon and still be recognisable. The client already had a mood board of design ideas and sketches, so we were really able to hit the ground running with this project with the client already completing a lot of research and even homed in on some designs before we were on board.
Once we had taken in the clients research and mood board, we were able to take the designs they preferred and develop them further.
We created five different designs for our client:
Logo Designs 1 – 3 below utilised the clients ideas about using road markings in the design as well as using the initials of the company name.
Logo 4 was inspired by our recent road trip to the South of France where we were GB sticker spotting! In this logo the initials of the company name are again used and they are inside a circle shape similar to that of a GB sticker.
Logo 5 was a completely different concept using a mouse icon to depict the idea of booking online and the dashed lines from the mouse (which should be the wire) is emulating road lines hinting to the idea that you are booking a journey online.
The client really liked logo 2, however felt some experimentation with using upper case initials, different caps, spacing on the full company name and longer dashes between the lines. These are the variations we came up with:
The client really like logo 4 they were happy with the font and colour, so had no further amends!
The client did request some colour swatches to aid them to create a style for the Journey Booker website design.
The client chose swatch 1 as this would give them enough variation of colour and depth for their new website design.
Once the project was completed the client Tweeted:
Overall we are really pleased with how the project went and with the final logo design. It was great to build upon the clients ideas and work so closely together on such a great logo design.
