What have we been up too?

We’ve been beavering away here at Eightyone Design so thought we’d share with you a short selection of projects we’ve been working on.

Learning Bites

The Connor Consultancy is a HR consultancy with an excellent track record in the delivery of high quality, results driven people services to clients across the UK and Europe. Having completed some print design projects for the company, we were approached by The Connor Consultancy to design and develop a new website to sell a range of training workshops they had produced called Learning Bites. Learning Bites are short training workshops on a variety of useful business skills which can be delivered easily by anyone within an organisation.

The Connor Consultancy required a professional and easy to use site that reflects their current branding and style. They wanted the site to stand out from competitors, who they felt had dated and difficult to use websites. The Connor Consultancy requested Google checkout as a simple way of ordering and purchasing the Learning Bites.

Overall, The Connor Consultancy was pleased with the site. They believe it to be far more contemporary compared with their competitors websites. They also commented on how easy the site was to use and how it reflected their branding to great effect. Company Director, Paul Connor comments ‘We really do appreciate all the hard work and effort you have put into the project. The site looks great!’ www.learning-bites.co.uk

Mewstones is an economic development consultancy specializing in regeneration and sustainable development initiatives. Mewstones deliver business plans, feasibility studies and development strategies for clients.

We had previously worked with Sarah from Mewstones to create companies logo design and stationary, so we were especially excited to work with them again on their new website.

Mewstones required a crisp and professional web site design which displayed the businesses services in a clear and concise way. The site was to also to contain a blog and news section for the company, as well as Twitter and Flickr integration. We immediately suggested WordPress for the job and began the design process.

The Mewstones website was launched at the end of 2009 and it has been very well received. The company has embraced social networking and their blog is most certainly gathering momentum. For us it was a super project to work on and we look forward to reading more blog posts from Mewstones!

Barry Palmer

But don’t think we have just been designing websites! We have also been hard at work on various print projects as well, one of which was creating some album artwork for local musician, Barry Palmer. Barry began his music career in the German rock band Triumvirat. His voice was picked up by Mike Oldfield and they recorded four songs for Mike’s album “Discovery”.

Barry’s new album “The Way Ahead” is due for release throughout Europe, with his main fan base located in Germany.

We are especially pleased with the result and feel that the texture and fringing looks super! Barry commented, “Thank you so much, you did a great job and I’m looking foreward to our next project!”

So… These are just a handful of projects we’ve been working on recently, and there are several in depth project articles on the way!

What projects have you been working on lately?
